Three parts Skirt

This dress which my daughter like it very much especially the Bag that came with the dress.The body is a peasant top and skirt part is a 3 part skirt with pocket in front and ruffle at the bottom.

I used this skirt pattern as a pattern for the skirt I made.

But I ignored the pocket section.
Here are the parts
One center front (cut on fold)
Two side fronts
Two back

I made this skirt with corduroy fabric.Join side fronts to center front.Join two back portions.Join the elastic band to the front & back.Now join fron&Back.Add ruffle section to all around skirt at the bottom.Sew a casing at the top for elastic&leaving a opening to insert a elastic.cut a piece of elastic to fit waist plus 1".Insert a elastic through casing.Stitchends of the elastic together securely.Stitch opening closed.

Toilet Tissue Holder

I saw a Tissue holder which is fancy one like this...

I attempted to make a tissue holder (not a fancy one)... Keep it simple like this....

The supplies :

                       Fabric

                       Matching thread

                       Scissor

                       sewing machine

                       Ribbon or bow or buttonor beads what ever you like to decorate

Cut Two 36" X 6.5" rectancle pieces for main

Cut One 4.5" X 2.5" rectancle for tie

Shape Top corner as shows..

Make Tie Fold half 4.5 X 2.6 picec in lengthwise. open, fold the corners into the center & fold  again .Sew tie.

Its time to place your decorations on top.I used  readymade bow&flower.

Now Pin the tie to top corner (shaped top)and place right side togher sew all around ,leave open at the bottom.

Use the Tie to pull right side out.Press .

 Fold inside the bottom side 1/4" & iron.

Top stitch all around.I top stitched halfway (the half in front)with crescent stitch.

The last part is fold the organizer and sew in place as shows below

(stitch at top side and half of the folded size).

This is how i made this tissue holder. You can add handle instead of tie.Always there is a better way to improve the method of making one.

Flower Gift bag

All you need is gift bags , flower paper cutter, colorful magazine pages and glue.

Cut the flowers and glued to your gift bag to make more decorative.

Party decor - Kissing ball

I have seen Wedding Kissing Balls making in Holiday craft&creations.
I gave it a try instead of card stock I used artificial flowers that saves me cutting flowers.I bought lot of flowers from dollar tree&walmart.

I snipped off the stems &re assemble all the pedals...

Rearranged the way I want

and pinned to the Styrofoam ball or hot glued if you want or any other way works for you.

I made tissue flower garland to go well with that.

Reupholstering a dinning chair

Its time for me to try new techniques.. so I tried this chair make over after the car seat make over.

Car seat Re-cover

I've seen car seat make over in Laura Thoughts , Make it and love it , Morning by morning productions .
They are pretty and cool idea.Especially in  Laura Thoughts Perfect one ! A complete make over of car seat ...mmm  I never thought about that ! But I like it very much.. I did not have guts to do a complete make over.Because we are planing a trip this weekend . If  I couldn't make well ends up buy a new car seat.I dont want that.Yeah of course I may try this after the trip but I could  not wait to try this out. I bought a red shade fabric for quilt but ended up with car seat cover.Here is the before and after version of my daughter's car seat.
 

I just trace over pattern of car seat into a paper (that's a tricky part without ribbing) then into fabric.... some measure... mark ... cut ...sew... adjust... Finally I made a cover & It came well.
