Now heat oil in a pan and add mustard, cumin seeds, curry leaves... let them splutter.
Then add chopped onions followed by green chillies.Saute them for a while and then add grated carrot.
Sprinkle some water cover and let  cook over for 5 to 6 min.
When done add mashed dal ,1/2 cup water ,salt and pepper powder.Add ghee(but its purely optional).
Bring to boil over low flame.Gernish with coriander leaves.Serve with chappthi or parotta.

If you want spicy adjusts with more chillies or pepper powder.
Suggestion : You can also add corn kennels, fried panner to the dal.

Daisy chain

I love this design.... I learned this from a book "Easy beading" by Susan M. Banker.

Here is the steps
  • Thread the needle onto 40" piece of thread
  • Attach the clasp to the end of the thread.Make sure it is well-secured by knot.
  • Put on four petal(main color) beads.Next put on one center beads(fig A).
  • Put the needle back through the first bead and pull tight (fig B).
  • Put on two more petal beads (fig C).
  • Put the needle back through the petal bead next to the center bead (fig D).
  • Pull thread tight to make a daisy (fig E).
  • Attach the jump ring on the end.
