My Crafts life !

My mother used to sew on her teenage. In her times most teenage girls hobby was sewing, embroidery etc,. but after marriage she left her sewing ... her machine too...She got her machine back when I was around 8 ... (sorry I forgot the age). I have started playing with sewing machine like a toy ! Its an old pedal model USHA machine which has half of my name so I am more attached with that machine. In her busy life cycle my mom almost forgot her sewing... .The machine is just sitting there to remind her past memories and to perform small work like fixing old clothes. I started sewing like a dummy.... sewing was my passion on my childhood. Initially I have started learning some crocheting with help of my neighbors. After my SSLC(10th grade) I have joined my Diploma college in Electronics & communication like others as per family by sacrificing my passion. But I am more interested in CDDM (Costume Design & Dress Making) department than my course. I always used to hang up with them , started looking all their work , helping them in  Painting, Toy making, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, sequins work, lot of craft making ... Even though I have lost interest in my course since I am academically good,  I have ended up in my Engineering but with same electronics and started working in IT company like fate of most Indians ... After my marriage I came to USA. Initially I did lots of browsing on my free time as I've nothing to do useful... then slowly my buried desire woke up ... I browsed crazily in Internet looking for crafts ... oh my God ! I am so happy to see there are lot of stuffs in there about crafts... that too free, Another treasure is my local Library where I can find hundreds of books to my interest which I am making use of regularly. My husband supported me to do whatever I love so I have bought all the machines and materials that I want for my crafts and started working on my passion.In the mean time I have been blessed with lovely daughter, I am so lucky that she won't disturb me much so that I don't have to give up my craft life for family.Now I am enjoying  sewing, knitting, jewelry making on my free time along with my daughter love.
